Annecy is an articling student at Polley Faith and previously summered with the firm. She also spent a summer examining the impact of social media networks on disinformation and freedom of expression. While in law school, Annecy was actively involved in the school community and received the Students’ Law Society Upper Year Mentorship Award in 2021 for her dedication. She led a student working group on facial recognition technology at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights and was the Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty’s student newspaper.
Annecy is passionate about equity and inclusion. She was the Co-President of University of Toronto’s Asia Law Society, is a current Student Director at the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) – Ontario chapter, and is Co-Chair of the Student and New Call Committee at the Group of Racialized Ontario Women Litigators (GROWL). She received FACL Ontario’s Omatsu scholarship award in 2021 for her volunteer work.
Annecy obtained her JD from the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, she completed her Bachelor of Arts and Science (Honours) at McMaster University, graduating with distinction.
Annecy anticipates being called to the Ontario bar in 2023.
