Yuliya summered with Polley Faith prior to joining the firm as an articling student. She graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law where she focused her studies on advocacy. In her second year, she volunteered at Downtown Legal Services where she worked one on one with individuals charged with criminal or academic offences. Yuliya also participated in the University of Toronto’s Trial Advocacy course where she litigated a mock case before the Superior Court of Justice. 

Yuliya also gained valuable research experience during her time at the University of Toronto. In her first year, Yuliya volunteered as a legal research assistant at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights to aid in a submission regarding the interplay between artificial intelligence and the section 8 privacy rights of Canadians. 

Prior to law school, Yuliya graduated with High Honours from Trinity College at the University of Toronto with a double major in Criminology and Psychology and a minor in English. While studying, she worked as a LSAT and MCAT instructor for a leading Test Prep institution.
